About Group:

Owen & Annie Harte Hennigan were my great, great grandparents who came over in approx 1847. Several? brothers of Owen [at least 2 or more?] came over as well. In addition, Owen's children arrived approx the same time. We have much info on those who settled in New England, most in northern Maine. A researcher helped us determine that our Owen and Annie came from Barnaribbon area in County Sligo.

Originally the name was Hennigan and still is back in Ireland. Most of us are Hannigans on this side of the pond.
