This is a membership place and genealogical resource to all those interested in the Irish surname CURTIN and its many variations. The name we share today descends from two ancient lines with different backgrounds.

The one represented by the coat of arms on our site, adopted as the symbol of our organization, is that of the ancient family of MacCruitin of Thomond, who served as ollaves, or bards, to the great O'Brien family.



The MacCruitin had their seat around present day Ennistymon, in County Clare. The other branch of the family is numerous in County Cork, and is also found in Counties Kerry and Limerick. Descendents of these ancient lines have mingled, and spread around the world, and many of them have brought credit and honor to the name.


The Clan Organization welcomes any and all historical or genealogical information as additions to our legacy. We invite you, and hope you will consider joining the Curtin Clan Organization and becoming an active member.





2009 Curtin Clan Gathering Details - All Participants Must Register

Our next Curtin Clan Gathering will be held at The Devon Inn Hotel, Templeglantine, Co. Limerick, Ireland - Thursday evening 23rd April to Sunday 26th April.

Come along and meet lots of people from various Curtin lines, hear interesting speakers, and enjoy the socializing.
